The Message Has Always Been One — Only the Laws Changed From the very beginning, God sent one message: worship Him alone. But the laws (Shariah) given to each prophet were specific to their people and time. • Moses (peace be upon him) was given laws for Bani Israel... of his era. • Jesus (peace be upon him) came to reaffirm the same message, with laws meant for his time. • Finally, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent as the last and universal messenger, confirming the previous scriptures while introducing final laws suitable for all people until the end of time—such as the change of prayer direction, five daily prayers, and fasting in Ramadan. God consistently declared in the Torah and the Gospel that when the next prophet comes, he must be followed. Yet today, many Jews and Christians deny Prophet Muhammad ﷺ—despite his clear mention in their own scriptures. Yasir Qadhi misses the mark again―he contradicts the Qur’an and opposes the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in his ‘end justifies the means’ political philosophy. He screams out in exultation of the Rabbis and Jews, “These are our brethren! These are our brethren! They are the REAL followers of Moses! They are the ones who make the Children of Israel proud!” This is not the belief of the Muslims―this is not what the Qur'an teaches, nor is it from the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The REAL followers of Moses (peace be upon him) believe in Jesus son of Mary as the servant and Messenger of God, and they believe in Muhammad (ﷺ) as the servant and final Messenger of God―that is the religion of Islam. Allah (ﷻ) said in the Qur’an: “And whoever desires other than Islam as religion―never will it be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.” (3:85) And He (the Most High) said: “Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam) among the People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and the Pagans will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creation.” (98:6) So, how are the Jews who disbelieved in Jesus and Muhammad (and disbelieved in the Books revealed to these Prophets) be “the REAL followers of Moses”?! If they were [as Qadhi claims] the REAL followers of Moses (peace be upon him), they would follow the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) because that is what Moses (peace be upon him) would do, just as the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “I have certainly come to you with that which is pure and clear proof... By the One in whose Hand is my soul, even if Moses (peace be upon him) was alive, he would have no choice but to follow me.” (Imām Ahmad in al-Musnad, 3/387 no. 14859, graded authentic by al-Albānī) Furthermore, “The Talmudic stories make fun of Jesus’ birth from a virgin, fervently contest his claim to be the Messiah... and maintain that he was rightfully executed as a blasphemer and idolater.” (Jesus in the Talmud, Peter Schäfer) Our ‘brethren’ believe in all of God’s Prophets including Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them all). The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is not a person from this nation, whether he is a Jew or a Christian, who hears of me, and then dies without believing in the message I was sent with except that he will be among the people of Hellfire.” (Muslim, no. 153)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not believe the people of the Book, nor disbelieve them. Say: We have faith in Allah, in what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes of Israel, in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and in what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims surrendering to Him.” (2:136) (Bukhari)

Uncle Khaled, the grandfather of the soul of our soul, who has lost the most beloved people to him in this genocide and who has been going around Gaza comforting others in their pain receiving a gift of oud. Look at his joy despite all he has been through. He then shares a tradition from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that a gift of perfume should not be refused. May he smell the scent of paradise in Al Firdaws, and we be by his side and the side of the beloved ﷺ and all of our loved ones in Gaza and beyond.

Mohammad DID not Encounter Gabriel in the Cave. It was a Demon! After Muhammad told his wife Khadijah he feared he had been visited by a demon in the Cave of Hira, she comforted him and took him to her Christian cousin Waraqa, a Christian scholar familiar with the Torah and Gospel. Waraqa listened to the account and declared it was the same angel (Gabriel/Namus) who had appeared to Moses — affirming that Muhammad was a true prophet. Far from urging him to lie or hide the truth out of fear people would call him crazy, both Khadijah and Waraqa affirmed his experience and became the first to believe he was a prophet. Why did Muhammad’s immediate response to “Jibreel” in the cave be pure fear and suspicion of possession — and why did he need humans to convince him it wasn’t a demon?

The Prophet ﷺ said, “One who walks with a tyrant, knowing full well that he is a tyrant, in order to strengthen him is such as has already left the fold of Islām.” [Al-Bayhaqī] Kaʿb ibn Ujrah reported: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ came to us while we were a group of nine. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Verily, tyrannical rulers will come after me and whoever affirms their lies and supports their oppression has nothing to do with me and I have nothing to do with him, and he will not drink with me at the fountain in Paradise. Whoever does not affirm their lies and does not support their oppression is part of me and I am part of him, and he will drink with me at the fountain in Paradise.” [Sunan an-Nasāʾī] Abū Mūsā reported: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, “Verily, Allāh the Exalted will give respite to the oppressor until He seizes him and he cannot escape.” Then the Prophet ﷺ recited the verse, ‘Such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Verily, His seizure is painful and severe.’ [Muttafaqun ʿalayh]
