Ana Sayfaya Dön

'The Missing Mouse' may not be a horror-themed short but its unsettling final visual of a desolate, destroyed town makes it a perfect Halloween watch. I love the night theming throughout. Something about the casual way its done here gives a unique feel no other night short has.

Honestly, the way Tom talks at the end scared me as a kid. Even now, it creeps me out.

Is the joke that the whole town got nuked and the mouse had nothing to do with it, or was it that the Radio was lying?

You know, that Don't You Believe It radio show isn't very well preserved, look up Dragnet and you'll find tons of classic episodes, but all I've seen from Don't You Believe It is a single clip, unless more has been uploaded since than.

Maybe due to the type of show it is. Drama shows like Dragnet, with a continuing story, seem to be a higher priority for holding on to. I can imagine there’s a decent amount archived somewhere but just not public.

Imagine if that radio announcer was in "The Day After" (1983)... "We repeat, the Soviets will NOT attack us with nuclear weapons!" "DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!"
