More Indians, including innocent civilians and tourists, have lost their lives in a series of ruthless terror attacks over the decades, than in wars with our volatile neighbour who has allowed terror networks to grow in our neighbourhood. Pakistan is yet to denounce and renounce the use of terror as an instrument of state policy. It has been bleeding us over the years. But something has changed & that change has come through PM Narendra Modi Ji’s firm and decisive change of doctrine. Enough is Enough. Under PM Modi Ji, the New India knows how to give it back. Tough punitive actions announced against Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, including putting in abeyance the Indus Waters Treaty, closing the integrated check post at the Attari border and cutting down the overall strength of the high commissions is just a beginning. India has slammed Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), accusing Islamabad of sponsoring cross-border terrorism and violating the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and peaceful coexistence. Talks of India trying to separate Sindh from Pakistan have resurfaced, creating renewed concern in the region. Following a recent missile test, India’s Defense Minister claimed that Sindh was once part of India and suggested it could become part of India again in the future, adding that borders keep changing. Reports indicate that after failures in the air, India is now considering provocations via the sea, assuming it could pressure Pakistan on the maritime front. However, the Pakistan Navy sent a strong message that its silence should not be mistaken for weakness by successfully testing an indigenously developed anti-ship ballistic missile, making it clear that Pakistan’s maritime security is firmly in capable hands. This test has forced Indian military planners to realize that neither land, air, nor sea is an easy route, and the success of this operation was publicly congratulated by the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
