Tithe in itself was a means to support Levites as they were not working at the time. In this modern age, I think tithe paid to the church doesn't make sense to me, I am of the view that, the tithe money should be given to orphans and widows since we don't have levites in our midst

The practice of tithing is really controversial among protestant denominations. In many ways, what they preach is manipulative and not aligned with the Gospel of love.

I have always maintained this idea of being against recording tithes. Anytime I raise the issue in church , they come against me with the notion that it’s how we Presbyterians we do our things .

Y’all be trashing tithe collection buh expect the church to support its members. With which money should they be supported? Don’t forget the church needs to sort out utilities and maintain machines and furniture. You people make it look like the money goes to the head pastor.

Deuteronomy 14: 22-29 This is how tithe was paid in the Bible and tithe wasn’t MONEY!!!! Repeat tithe isn’t MONEY!!!
