Near the Golden Valley checkpost in Thiruvananthapuram, a playful tussle among monkeys turned dangerous when a baby accidentally touched a live wire. Within seconds, it collapsed, leaving it unconscious from the electric shock. On duty nearby, Arun PR, a beat forest officer stationed at Ponmudi, spotted the fallen monkey and rushed to help. Without wasting a moment, he picked up the fragile body and started performing CPR, right there in the middle of the forest. Minutes later, the effort paid off.
