Ha, good thing a single person or entity owning the vast majority of houses only happens be in board games right?

So you are... monopolizing... the houses.

When one of my friends did this strategy it actually caused a mass rage quit from the rest of the table

unfortunately, the strategy only works on paper in pretty much every household ever has had the house rule of "use random garbage as substitute houses if the bank runs out" never met anyone who didn't have some house rule like that just ends up dragging the game on forever

what do I do if I poked my eye with one of the house pieces

Wrong in the rules they extra say the bank cant run out of houses or hotels just make your own if needed.

I don't really know how to play this game. No one around me really knows how to play it.

The game theory optimal Monopoly strategy is usually to build 3 houses on each property in a color group. That’s where the rent spike is the most efficient relative to the cost, and it also keeps houses tied up so your opponents can’t build as easily.

Another way to win is to be the first to buy Park Place and Boardwalk, because they have the highest rent.

I did this during one of my friends graduation party and won by a landslide.

I actually did this in a game. I called it the slumlord strategy. I had houses on every cheap property I could till we ran out. My brothers were trying to buy a hotel without 4 houses first I said nope.

Best strategy is once you and an opponent has hotels deconstruct your hotel forcing them to file bankruptcy once they run out of money if they land on your property. Only issue is the chance and community bank card that makes you pay taxes per house
