Please help me to understand, the Factories Corporation of Jamaica isn't a gov't agency? How the PM is saying gov't at one time didn't want to absorb it, when it is an agency owned by the gov't? If the gov't did borrow the money, then where did the FCOJ get the money to invest?

Brisbane Islamic Centre is a state of the art mosque, multicultural community centre and aged/childcare facility being built today. Muslims say that it will be a pillar of Australian society. The 10-acre land has been donated by an anonymous community member and is held in a public company that is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission. Prayer Halls: A large main Musjid catering to over 2,000 worshippers, built with distinct male and female prayer facilities. Community Hall: A massive function space that accommodates up to 800 people, featuring its own commercial kitchen and cold room for catering. Serviced Offices: Multiple dedicated office rooms for community organisations, sharing an adjoining corporate Boardroom. Auditorium: A presentation room featuring theatre-style seating for 150 people and advanced audiovisual systems. After decades of neglect and underinvestment, St. Thomas finally has a development it can call its own. The Morant Bay Urban Centre is a symbol of possibility, a long-overdue answer to the cries of a “forgotten parish”. Unwilling to witness and appreciate what this means for our people. This is the difference between a government that builds and an opposition that tears down. The difference between leadership that sees Jamaica and leadership that sees only politics. And leadership that focuses on what is good for Jamaica and leadership that focuses on what is good for themselves. We believe in development for every parish and progress for every Jamaican. And while others may scoff from the sidelines, we’ll continue doing the real work of nation-building, because Jamaica deserves nothing less.

A few weeks ago hundreds of proud, hopeful Jamaicans gathered at the Morant Bay Urban Centre, smiling, cheering, and witnessing history. After decades of neglect and underinvestment, St. Thomas finally has a development it can call its own. First Lady inaugurates Pakistan’s first dedicated autism residential centre and inclusive park in Karachi First Lady Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari MNA and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah today inaugurated Pakistan’s first dedicated autism residential centre and Pakistan’s first inclusive park at the Centre for Autism Rehabilitation & Training (C-ARTS) in Korangi, marking a major step towards strengthening support for persons with autism. Established in 2018, C-ARTS is the first autism centre in Pakistan to provide diagnosis, rehabilitation, education, skills training and employment support for children with autism under one roof. It has four centres in Karachi and centres in Hyderabad, Gambat, Sukkur, Larkana and Shaheed Benazirabad, providing free services, transport and stipends. The centre also offers parent training programmes and has a professional training centre. During the briefing, the First Lady was informed that the newly inaugurated residential facility will provide comprehensive care, respite services, rehabilitation, training and long-term support in a safe and inclusive environment. The First Lady was further briefed on the digitisation of C-ARTS services. The C-ARTS registration portal has gone live as part of Phase-I of the digitisation process, with the aim of moving towards a paper-free system and maintaining a single digital record for each child. Focusing on the first E in our THEMES+ agenda, which is Education and Technology, the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle sits on nearly 12 hectares and serves about 20,000 students across 36 schools, both primary and secondary. Before the upgrade, many of the buildings were in poor condition. Today, the entire complex has been rebuilt and expanded, marking its most significant transformation since it was established over 40 years ago. New classroom blocks have been added to reduce overcrowding. The facilities now include a football pitch, sports courts, a health centre, a fire station, and essential services like solar power and improved water systems. There is also a clear focus on inclusion. Dedicated buildings for students with disabilities have been introduced, along with lifts to make movement easier within the complex. A vocational centre is now in place, offering training in practical skills such as tailoring, plumbing, and masonry. With an ICT hub and a central laboratory, students are better positioned to engage with science and technology in a more hands-on way. Overall, the project creates a more supportive and functional learning environment for a densely populated community.
