This is a complete fallacy. My content is discoverable because I do what's needed to be done to get discovered at this current point of Internet history. Which is making it "engaging". If it does not work, I'll adapt and do something else.

I think this is also part of the reason why they hid the ratio. Videos I liked were extremely well liked by everyone and it showed. Whereas videos that used engagement tricks over quality always got a lot of dislikes and could easily be disregarded at a glance.
