The more people realize that and start actively resisting the Algorithms the sooner the Internet becomes a better place for all of us. Including the Content Creators. I don't wanna consume "engaging" content and I don't wanna make it either.

I've found some amazing technical and general content through suggestions. I agree recommendations should not optimise for engagement, but there has to be a middle ground.

I use youtube unhook and youtube search fixer completely removes almost everything out of youtube, comments, notifications, shorts, defaults shorts to a normal youtube page a lot of stuff I have been enjoying youtube much more ever sense I downloaded these addons

This is a complete fallacy. My content is discoverable because I do what's needed to be done to get discovered at this current point of Internet history. Which is making it "engaging". If it does not work, I'll adapt and do something else.

I think this is also part of the reason why they hid the ratio. Videos I liked were extremely well liked by everyone and it showed. Whereas videos that used engagement tricks over quality always got a lot of dislikes and could easily be disregarded at a glance.

I decided to stop creating content. A few weeks ago, I wanted to stop content creation for a while due to how stressful it was becoming for me, coupled with what I was doing on the back end. But I couldn't, I really love making videos and sharing my experience + stories. That same week, I made sure I shot more videos and created more content despite the intense level of pain and discomfort I was feeling. The market can be pretty bad now, but don't give up and don't stop telling your story/sharing value. It will get better. I definitely know it will be better this month🔥

People just have to realize there’s different levels of “AAU” I think the general public sees the content creators team and stuff like that and group that with EYBL, 3SSB etc. I think the content stuff is fire in its own right, but it’s drastically different than the real thing.
