I was fortunate enough to know and be involved with a bunch of hard core really good guitar players/musicians. From all over the world for about 10 years until about 15 years ago we’d meet at a mutual friends home outside Dallas 2x a year for the annual Dallas & Arlington guitar shows. Most of those guys believed that the only good music was born of strife like war and social upheaval. So the 60’s and early 70’s to those who believed that was the only good era of music. I couldn’t disagree more and usually argued alone. 80’s music is incredible especially the 2nd British Invasion. I miss those days.

Perhaps because Ringo Starr {The Beatles} is a guest drummer with them !!! Only one of the most famous drummers of the past century!!!

Just saw John live about 3 months ago. Still a powerhouse vocally. Great mix of solo and The Baby’s material. Always a treat to see him live.

The music of the 1980s was generally terrific. IMO, pop music largely fell off a cliff from 1991 on. Still good bands and artists to be sure, but not the sheer proliferation there was in the '80s.

I wish artists would maintain the striking similarity between their live concerts and the sound of their songs on the albums. No one wants to hear an artist deviate from the original music that initially captivated music fans and led them to the artist. This is just my opinion, but I firmly believe in it.

This song has no connection to the 80's. This live version is from 2003 when Jonathan Waite joined Ringo Starr's All Star Band tour. The original version of the song was released in 1978 when Waite was a member of the Babys.
