I said this his rookie year on here and got mocked.

He hasn’t been Atlantas ace in 3 years

No he would be max 7th inning with fastball and stuff has been decreasing over last couple years

John Smoltz should chime in

1 he’s not an Ace and 2 he’s not better than 3 guys that are already in their pen.

Shoulda been put in the pen

He has no spot here now. Hes not a SP and he doesn't have the gas to be the closer anymore. Best thing is to get him 100% healthy, prop him up if you can and try and move him for whatever you can.

Stop with the constant bad baseball takes

What??? Are you insane to suggest that!

Maybe part of a trade deal

Move to the pen? He might move to retirement so the Braves can cash on an insurance policy. I think he's done.

He's a middle relief guy.

No stuff as of now just isn't there.

He can't throw hard enough any longer to be a closer, nor does he have the control like Iggy does to be a closer.

Maybe a 7th inning guy

Why not his SP’ing value has decreased

Scary thing is... they are gonna repeat history with Didier...

LOL

Strider is not Atlanta’s ace…

Strider needs to go to the glue factory

I want to know who thought it was a good idea to have starting pitchers throw 100 mph pitches constantly and not expect arm trouble.

Giving up 2 bombs each time. 🤷🏻

Throwing 94? Is this a serious question?

Not if he doesn’t get his velocity back. I’d like to hear Smoltzies take on if he thinks Strider could be successful in that role. If so, I’m cool with it.

Sounds like a good idea anything would be better than Iggy.

I mean if he can throw 99 again but if not middle relief
