That’s insanely awesome and fantastic footage!! Crazy thing is I literally just finished watching Twister for the millionth time and this seriously looks like several scenes!! Not only that, but twice during the movie the sirens went off (which is why I was watching it). I’d love to go out with you next time you’re chasing at home.

🌪️ Massive tornado just captured by Reed Timmer. “The most amazing tornado intercept ever in the Dominator! WE ARE IN DANGER!” ⚠️ The inflow of the powerful tornado was pulling the Dominator in to the destructive core flow by the mirrors and hood! This tornado was just west of Gary, Minnesota. The tornado narrowly missed a house at peak intensity. “This is the most insane tornado I have ever seen in my 30 year career.”

At this very moment, 13 years ago, a violent EF5 tornado was tearing through Moore, Oklahoma – reawakening scars from 1999 and killing 24 people. The tornado touched down at 2:56 p.m. At 3:01 p.m., Moore was placed under a tornado emergency. Footage from NWS Norman:

I'm gonna go ahead and release this here, as there seems to be some discourse since it was not well documented, as Ben McHone and I were the only chasers with a view of the Kankakee, IL Tornado as it morphed from a stout stovepipe to a large wedge. We were northbound on a road, looking south of the tornado, while most high-profile chasers were to the SW of the tornado at the time. This tornado turned into a rapidly widening tornado and was cloaked by RFD, moving directly into Aroma Park. This tornado spooked me to a degree as I was anticipating it to be moving more NE vs due East. Otherwise, this would have been a very close-range intercept. After this, the tornado became wrapped from our view before blasting east. I'll release a video of the Satellite with an evil El Reno-like Meso here later.

The most insane tornado video of all time. This tornado made the spookiest sounds I have ever heard on April 30, 2024 in Westmoreland, KS as it terrorized the small town. The violent suction vortex sucked a manhole cover out of the road and it was rated EF3.

DO YOU SEE IT?! What do you notice about this massive dynamic pipe as the #tornado is planting. The RFD winds were greater than 100 mph at this moment. If we intercepted this #tornado near peak intensity, wind gusts to the speed of sound are possible in the strongest suction vortices. This tornado was rated EF3, but likely reached F5 intensity in that field before impacting the farmhouse #stormchasing #Dominator #Twisters

I estimate 120 mph winds inside this broad tornado cyclone with stronger winds in any subvortices. Would YOU intercept this insane #tornado? I thought it was moving more northerly early and overshot the tornado on approach to the highway, so I did not get a chance to deploy the spikes into the pavement. We approached from behind and were swept across the road by the 130 mph northerly winds. Guess a number between 1 and 475 for a #tornado intercept
