Tax has been there on medical insurance even before GST was introduced. There was already a Service Tax on medical insurance, before the GST was introduced. This is not a new tax, it was already there in all the states. Those protesting here, did they discuss regarding the removal of this tax in their states? Did they write to the Finance Ministers of their respective states about it and asked them to raise it in the GST Council where states have 2/3rd part? No, but they are protesting here. World Apart is being described as "the game with the highest AI density". Backed by ByteDance (TikTok), and announced for PC, this RPG feels like an ambitious proof-of-concept for the whole "AI NPCs" idea that several companies have been trying to hype in the last couple of years. It goes hard on generative AI and other implementations of the tech. This was one of 12 games shown by ByteDance at ChinaJoy 2026 btw. The game seems to actually be real, and a Steam page is already online (link in 🧵). No release date yet. (personal note: this tweet is not me promoting or supporting gen-AI in gaming. Personally, I don't find this game appealing, although I am curious to see how it all works out when it launches. If it does. I do think it's an interesting case-study, and it's a title that has created quite a lot of buzz in some industry circles, so it's worth being aware of it. Also, I feel stupid having to explain all this.)

#TimeToHunt Management staff has addressed the Evan Bouchard style like NBA picks/interference to the #NHL & Colin Campbell, the Florida Panthers had a lot of footage to go off of as this is a theme for Bouchard to do a lot on the PowerPlay. The Cats believe they should be up 2-0 going home for Game 3 if this was called. This play could be called a lot more going forward in the #StanleyCup Final. Justin Holl had been called for something similar when he was with the #LeafsForever vs #GoBolts in Game 7 when he interfered with Stamkos off of a Tavares goal that Wes McCauley called off. Wes was a ref in game 1 when this play happened.

This postgame interview with Stephanie White from yesterday was absolutely hilarious because the camera was on Caitlin Clark during the entire interview. 1. Stephanie said that the Fever lost the game yesterday due to turnovers. This comment immediately threw Caitlin under the bus, and her performance warranted that type of accountability. 2. They asked Stephanie about her star players being in foul trouble every game now. Stephanie told reporters that this was due to the new “freedom of movement” rules that were implemented prior to the 2026 season. ————————————————— The freedom of movement rules were implemented as a direct result of Caitlin Clark crying to the WNBA’s front office. During the off-season, Caitlin praised the WNBA for these new rule changes. She now has 5 fouls in every game. Caitlin pushed for these new rules thinking that they would benefit her OFFENSIVELY……and they have, which is why she is scoring at a much higher clip. What Caitlin failed to take into consideration was the fact that these same rules would DESTROY her DEFENSIVELY because she lacks the athleticism necessary to keep up with much quicker guards on the DEFENSIVE end without using her hands.

Carter’s burst off of the edge has reportedly been “terrifying” and has been dominating the first-team offensive line throughout practices. Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reports on PlayStation's myriad live service failings. He reports Bungie had "a whole bunch of live service games in the works", "five or six", at the time they were acquired, but that "for a variety of reasons", which he'll detail in a story later, "most of those projects fell apart". On Naughty Dog, he reports most of the studio was working on Last of Us Online and remakes/remasters before it was cancelled. That it wasn't just a small side project, and is in-fact a key reason Intergalactic isn't out yet. "I think there's a belief out there that The Last of Us Online was just kind of a side project while most people were working on Intergalactic. No, the opposite is true." "Intergalactic did not have the majority of staff until after Last of Us Online was cancelled. And then most people on the studio came over to work on Intergalactic.....which is why we haven't seen a brand new game from them since 2020." He also reports Guerrilla Games live service game Horizon Hunters Gatherering is now being "rebooted" to a more traditional co-op game, no longer live service, following negative play tests, and that it may even be cancelled if it isn't sorted before the end of the year. He adds that the GG's "next mainline single-player Horizon game, is still far, far away" He reports Sony Bend is still working on a new project following their live service project being canned. He also re-touched on Bluepoint's live service game being cancelled, as well as the Twisted Metal Live service game too. Either way, there's been some truly awful project management with Sony's live service push, that has cost even the single player bread and butter side of things. Had Bluepoint not been working on the now cancelled God of War live service game instead of solely Sony Santa Monica, perhaps God of War Laufey would have been much further away too, the way Last of Us Online and Hunters Gathering impacted Guerrilla Games and Naughty Dog. All I can say is, PlayStation is lucky Xbox, whom are seemingly never happy letting PlayStation take the fuck up limelight, spectacularly dropped the ball this gen in a somehow even worse way, else Xbox could have actually encroached on PS5 marketshare. This gen ironically was actually one of Xbox's best opportunities to hurt PlayStation, admidst their numerous blunders, especially with the stock shortages early in the gen. Full link:

So you might expect that evolution has optimised our immune system, and there won't be much low-hanging fruit for improving this with science. But bacteria and viruses evolve so quickly that evolution is constantly racing just to keep up. It doesn't have time to optimise perfectly. Case in point: Our primate ancestors used to have built-in genetic defence against HIV-like viruses. But at some point, the gene was repurposed to protect against a different virus that posed more of a threat. That virus has since disappeared, but our genome is still protecting against it - and failing to protect us against HIV. The good news is that we should expect there to be many opportunities where science can do better than evolution.

Wilmore: This is a type of hypocrisy that I've seen for a while now. There's always been this kind of hyperventilating rightly so over protecting middle class workers.. unless they work for the government, then they don't count. Then they're not real Americans. All of a sudden, their jobs are disposable. You can cut them off immediately. That is a different type of elitism that has now crept into the right where there's elitism against working class people who have civil service jobs. When I was growing up, for black people, people of color, civil service jobs was one of the only ways to get into the middle class.

There were plans for Quake Champions to be transitioned into the hands of the community with a LAN client. Sync Error the sole developer on the team was laid off before this was a possibility. There was potential to free the game from the games as a service model that killed it, with modding and custom lobbies. Quake Champions has been left in limbo, it has no one updating the game or anticheat. I was told there wouldn't even be a LAN server for QuakeCon like there is every year. (There will be official tournaments there!) I know it failed on its introduction, it went through a long hard development process but it eventually became great, and never was given a second chance. This was my first Quake game and it will always be special to me. Please save Quake Champions. This is heart breaking Stop Killing Games Official

Okay, the more I play Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, the more I want to kick myself in the ass for not playing this game sooner. LLENN has become one of my favorites among the Rouge Class in the game. There are over 20 characters, and each of them plays differently from the others, which makes it hard to settle on a main to rank up. LLENN is so damn fun to play. She has dual pistols as her secondary weapons. Her movement is crazy good, and the shooting is fun. The combat knife for close-range combat is flashy as hell, lol. I wanted to score an S rank on this mission, and I was able to pull it off, and received some pretty good loot too! This arcade-style scoring makes this game addictive for me. This is my first introduction to the character, since I never played or watched SAO past the first season. This shorty knows how to put in work XD

Minnesota 6’7 Wing Cade Tyson has been one of the most impressive players in college basketball so far this season. Through his first five games Tyson is averaging 23/4/1 while shooting 53% from the field and 39% from three on 6 attempts a game. Tyson has been one of the most polished and consistent scorers this season with his ability to effectively score with and without the ball. He’s a high level catch and shoot shooter and cutter who has great instincts on where to be and he’s doing it with elite efficiency. He’s currently shooting 72% at the rim and 39% from three. Tyson has been one of the biggest breakout players so far this season and his mix of shooting, finishing, and off ball instincts at his height makes him an extremely valuable player.
