Absolutely awesome tech but I actually kinda genuinely dislike that they are baking it into a mainstream consumer device I don’t get the pixel obsession with making extremely fake photos mainstream

Interestingly, many tech solutions nowadays are designed to minimize or eliminate the need for human interaction while at the same time making the whole process more difficult and time-consuming. In the above scenario, asking a random person to take the photo would obviously be a lot easier. Other examples are self-service kiosks in airports and fast-food restaurants or automated customer service chatbots. Both make the user experience a lot worse while also minimizing human interaction.
