I had a Siamese kitten that was orphaned very young and never learned to clean himself. He LOVED getting a bath. It was the strangest thing!

My gray cat is still traumatized because a drop of water splashed on him when he was a kitten sitting on the bathroom counter. He’s now 12 years old and still won’t come near the sink. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Aside from the unnecessary and potentially harmful bathing (unless the cat is ill or elderly), do not use cotton swabs to clean cats' ears! Use cotton wool balls instead. Never dry, and only when required.

If I tried that with my two monsters my hands would be a mass of shredded flesh and bone by the end!

@Babs41411 I give my boy a rubdown with a damp warm washcloth every morning, that’s the closest he’ll get to water. The good thing is it has cut way down on the hair problem and he loves the massage. 🐈‍⬛

Wow! My cat turns into a whirl of limbs, claws, & teeth when I try & wash him. Problem is he's old & can barely take care of himself. A couple months ago I bought a professional trimmer & cut all the hair off the rear third of his body that was all matted & full of fleas. It was great to see him comfortable again. But I need to shower him again. The YEOWLs of cat agony will fill the hallways once more, but he'll look so nice & fluffy.

Is this an indoor cat? While ear cleaning is a must, unless your cat is dirty all the time, like with mud, or pees and poops on itself, this is not necessary. It's very stressful for cats. She's probably used to it but so not necessary, just to make a video.
