🚨 The much-awaited vertical lifting span was successfully raised on the New Pamban Bridge in the southern tip of Tamil Nadu, India. A ENGINEERING MARVEL !!

Pamban Old Bridge was Opened on 24 February 1914, it was India's first sea bridge, and was the longest sea bridge in India until the opening of the Bandra–Worli Sea Link in 2010👏🏻

The new Pamban bridge is 2,070 meter long vertical lift sea bridge and the installation of the important component of the bridge, tThe new bridge have 100 spans across the sea, 99 of which are 18.3 meters and one of which is 72.5 meters.

This makes it India's first vertical lift sea bridge, connecting Rameswaram Island to the mainland across the Palk Strait. The bridge is 2,070 meters long and features a span that lifts to allow ships to pass beneath it.

What most people don’t know is who did it? The New Pamban Bridge was constructed by the *Indian Railways* in collaboration with various engineering companies and experts. This project was led by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, which is known for implementing significant rail infrastructure projects across India.
