Asano’s ability to have an OST go from poignant deeply thoughtful and lonely pieces during the school days to energetic epic pieces like this is what makes him one of the GOATs lowkey imo. I’ve never quite had someone hit like he does Shame he doesn’t work with Gust anymore

fantastic thoughts! the bgm of br is reminding me a lot of koe no katachi by kensuke ushio, which is one of my all-time favorites. sounds delicate, yet personal and touching, sweet, nostalgic/melancholic, ideal for hinako's bittersweet life with an underlying sense of hope

100% agreed. BR1 for sure hits the delicate melancholy feeling more than its successor, but both games’ OSTs make the tender moments and emotional moments sink in. Both Hinako and Ao’s struggles, as well as their friends’, are all beautifully framed by the softer side of the OST

Also apologies for the spam but: the goat Ushio Kensuke mentioned 💙 His music has helped me a lot during moments when I’m feeling overwhelming anxiety and the beautiful lonely, bittersweet, but calm feelings it invokes in me also hit me similarly to Asano’s. Deeply appreciated

it's ok!!! hayato really showed me with ba just how incredible his range is. He can capture this kind of melancholy, but also that joyful and hopeful side of his music, which to me is his signature. his more uplifting tracks are the kind of music that genuinely makes me smile

Blue Reflection 1 boss battle themes my beloved(all of them are god-tier)

I just wanna say I keep liking your posts as they turn up on my feed because BR is so cool, and this track is one of my favourites to ever come out of a video game, especially in its entirety. It's so, so good. BR's music and ambiance is maybe unmatched.

completely deserved. This song is incredible. I ended up posting the second phase, which is my favorite of the three. I haven't even finished the game or played the second one yet, but I already feel like this could be one of the greatest solo works by a composer in gaming
