@MarkHalperin 2 things can be true at once. Mail balloting invites corruption b/c the ballots are not secret and can be handled by party operatives as they go door to door. That said, if it is the system, you have to take full advantage. Work to abolish the system outside of election time.

I asked Mark Halperin what Republicans have to look forward to in the midterms. Will there be a surprise? His answer shocked me... MITCHELL: People are cherry-picking early voting data to see whatever they want. Independents have had a massive shift to the left nationally, and nobody’s really modeling that. Ds are also apparently changing their voting behavior and not voting by mail anymore. So people look at mail-in ballot returns and say, “Oh, look, D turnout’s down.” They’re missing the independent story.
