Love the maintainer flow! One of the big objectives for the app is you could have a single pane of glass for operating over primitives (like issues/PRs) as a maintainer, firing off to agents as needed.

We made an open-source Grok Bot for iOS. Actually… we didn’t make it. The community did. OpenMausBot has now crossed 1.7K stars on GitHub, and some genuinely incredible people have been contributing to it this beautiful iOS app is a direct result of that. we’re shipping at an absolutely ridiculous pace It was a pretty overwhelming week with all the PRs and issues coming in but the app is so good now I’m dropping the TestFlight link in our Discord channel Come try it, break it, share your feedback, and help us shape what comes next. I built a Photoshop-like image editor. It’s called Compositor. I originally built it for myself to get off my Adobe subscription, but decided to release it for free and make it open source. It has all the essential tools I need for compositing, with none of the BS. I know this workflow is kind of archaic in 2026, but I’m still using it until AI can actually get pixel-perfect on some of the details. The entire app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6,455MB on my machine.

SECRET AI POWER TOOL. All modern Apple iOS phones have a a free powerful tool called “Recorder”. Not only is it a great way to take “notes”, it is a great way to get text to train your AI mode on your ideas, questions or statements. The built-in speech-to-text I use hourly. In fact this posting was made this way last night while I was driving. I also have been carrying a full off-Internet local voice memo device for decades for all of my audio interactions (WITH PERMISSION), not to use as evidence, but to build my high context AI, I call The Intelligence Amplifier. The Recorder app is used by me as a way to make quick snippets of my intentional audio. It is a “secret” to many, but I can say it is one. Very powerful free AI tool. I trained a small AI model on small engine repair by having a 71 year mechanic still working just explain in words everything he is doing over the course of 6 months, just his guiding voice. I hope to one source this. I also use this to send long prompts to Mr. Grok CEO ideas I have in our board of directors meetings. Give it a try. The dots in the upper right corner will have a Transcription option.

BOOMI MY NEW GROK DEVICE! I HAVE Grok ON AN OLD APPLE WATCH MADE IN TO A RETRO IPOD! Still working on it but my goal to have a remote single purpose Grok device has been achieved! With the benefits of posting my grifter slop on to X from this device also (that is another article). And a minimal phone. So how did I do it? First I got this IPod converter kit: it is a beautiful device to hold made of Aluminum. Second I got this app: “Ask Watch AI” it has a free version. Third I got my XAI Grok API Key: Toss a few bucks in the account to fund it. Finally I set up the system by answering questions. This is my first run. I am coding an app for the Apple Watch that will be easier than pressing “done”. I will write a full article on it as soon as I get it done. My goal is to use the cell plan on this Apple Watch and to have a minimal phone and Grok device. Soon these devices will be sent to Starlink. With full Grok Bot and Grok Build. No need for an OS or an App. Obviously this is an Apple Watch but soon it will be a device like this of course with a camera too.

Now that I am home and have access to my files I decided to do a quick test with one of my Vtubing avatars. It works way better with my larger iPad Pro (less crashing/more memory and more screen space) compared to the mini so I did want to bring that up. Importing the file over as GLB was more stable than just OBJ plus it kept the color info from the previous texture. I texture all my avatars on substance painter but have been looking at an alternative when I am out and about that is not on the computer and this actually hits all the right "wants". Adding a quick video of the way the app works for me. I like that it has layers, I can alter my brushes and even add stabilization when I am drawing (which I use that extensively on procreate so that was a huge plus). The stamp tools will come in handy as well but did not show it on this video. The file itself is imported as "one mesh" but each part is treated as their own separate piece which I show in the video. I do the same thing on substance painter making it really easy for me to texture. The app then exports the texture out for each object which is the same way I do so on substance. Overall I am extremely impressed with the work Sparseal has done on this application and see how useful this will be for my current work flow of texturing. I for one love the ability to be "portable" which is a big reason I sculpt so much with Nomad Sculpt on the iPad. Having the freedom to do your work away from a desk and if you feel like doing it outside is probable why I yearn for iPad apps so much like so. Give this app a look, it is free to try on the App Store (It is $19 to be able to export, but a one time buy). It is called "Wafer" for the iPad. I already use CozyBlanket from the same creator to do re topology so I expected this level of fantastic with this current app.

Inspired by the recent Scott Hanselman 🌮 interview I watched, he shoes a "Hanselhub" basically of how he like to manage his workload. I played around with canvas in the Copilot app, and the James Hub is all things that I care about, how I like to work on projects, and helps me figure what I have time for. Pretty neat! Still working on it.

I FOUND AN APP BUILDER THAT DOESN'T CHARGE FOR AI CREDITS. every app builder i tried had the same catch: new account, new interface, and a credit meter that drains every time you ask for a change.
