The NFC loading system has been extremely popular with almost everyone (there was one person who really didn't like it)! Here's a breakdown of how it all works and what it looks like in action on my Vewlix. 1/5

This uses a secondary RP2040 based board piggybacked on an RP2040 Advanced Breakout board running GP2040-CE. That additional RP2040 board has a PN532 NFC board connected as well as a Micro SD card reader, RGB LEDs and optional 128x64 OLED display. 2/5

Each NFC card has a unique UID that is loaded up into a .txt file on the Micro SD card with all of the input information needed to launch the game. Each game is kept in folders on the Switch 2 (which do not move in location as you launch other games). 3/5

Thanks to the power of GP2040-CE we can hold multiple input profiles which is great for games with unique controls like Xenocrisis. Here you can see I load Xenocrisis and GP2040-CE loads into a profile I have setup where the second player control stick can be used as P1 RS. 4/5

Outside of launching games this can also be used for aux buttons I don't have easily accessible on my cabinet like Home, Capture, Select, R3 and L3. Don't worry, the coin drop still works :) I will be updating the hardware repo with this soon! 5/5

Awesome work ! Love how the reader lights up after scanning the nfc card!

Thank you!

This is amazing

This looks very cool and original way to boot games.

This is amazing 🔥🔥🔥

Chat, this hotel wifi has me yearning to play Law. We are so back.

I took one of the new C16 black aluminum top plates, orbital sanded it, hand sanded it left to right with 60 down to 220 then finished it off with steel wool. Very happy with the result. Gives me Hori Fighting Edge PS4 vibes. Might add a black vinyl cut sticker.

Happy to say I have finally finished my @punkworkshop FS-24 build! This had been on my backburner for some time but it's all done and dusted. GP2040 by @TheTrain24 LEDs by @focusattack LED backmount kit by @Layer_Shift PWS V1 buttons and joystick (spring type) by @punkworkshop
