we paid our taxes and national insurance contributions the Tory governments used this money to pay the bankers and their mates instead of re-investing back to public services... surely last 12 years have been a disaster for this country in ever level except for the rich..

@annaturley To put the current strike in context, consider this: The Tory govt is saying that a Band 5 nurse in England, with a degree & a study loan debt of tens of thousands of pounds, should accept as a fair offer a pay rate of just £1.33 above the statutory minimum wage. It’s an insult.
