“We Are Rome” 🏛️ There is a long historical memory of conflict between the jewish people and the ancient Roman Empire. That memory comes mainly from events in the 1st–2nd centuries CE that were extremely traumatic in jewish history. 1. Destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple🕍 In 70 CE, Roman forces led by Titus crushed a jewish revolt and destroyed Second Temple in Jerusalem. •The Temple was the center of jewish religious life. •Its destruction was devastating spiritually, culturally, and politically. •jews were killed, enslaved, or displaced. This event is still mourned annually during Tisha B’Av. 2. Jewish–Roman Wars⚔️ There were several major revolts against Roman rule: •First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 CE) •Kitos War (115–117 CE) •Bar Kokhba Revolt (132–136 CE) After the Bar Kokhba revolt, Emperor Hadrian: •Banned many jewish practices •Renamed the province Judea to Syria Palaestina •Barred jews from entering Jerusalem 3. Exile and Diaspora 🧳 Roman policies contributed to the wider jewish diaspora, spreading jewish communities across the Mediterranean and beyond. Many Jewish traditions interpret Rome as a symbol of exile and oppression in that period. 4. “Rome” in jewish texts ☦️ In some rabbinic writings, “Rome” became a symbolic name for later oppressive empires (and sometimes even medieval Christian powers). So references to Rome in jewish literature aren’t always about the literal ancient Romans. 1/3

Roger Waters has appeared on the latest episode of Tucker Carlson's podcast. Not something I'd normally bother watching, but I was curious enough to give this one a go. In this clip, Waters predictably throws around all the usual "apartheid" and "genocide" buzzwords before mocking Christian Zionism, while Tucker basically argues that it's fundamentally incompatible with Christianity. The reality is Christian Zionism is a perfectly coherent position. Christianity didn't appear out of nowhere. Jesus was born a Jew, lived among Jews, preached in Judea and Galilee, and the defining events of Christianity all took place in what is now Israel and the surrounding region. Supporting Israel as a Christian Zionist isn't about believing Jews must convert to Christianity or accept Jesus as the Messiah. Christianity and Judaism are different faiths. It's about recognising that Christianity is built on Jewish history. If the archaeological record of ancient Israel were wiped out, we'd also lose countless places, artefacts and pieces of evidence connected to the world Christ lived in. The historical setting of Christianity cannot be separated from the history of ancient Israel. The irony is that many of Israel's enemies deny that Jews ever had a legitimate historical connection to the land in the first place. Once you erase that history, the archaeological sites, historical evidence and cultural heritage tied to it become much easier to dismiss, rewrite or destroy. That's why protecting Jewish history also helps preserve the historical foundations of Christianity. So the idea that Christian Zionism is somehow incompatible with Christianity has never made much sense. Christianity is inseparable from Jewish history, so why wouldn't Christians care about preserving the land, history and archaeological record that form the backdrop to their own faith?

1/ IS AMERICA A CHRISTIAN NATION? Charlie Kirk was once challenged on the Christian foundations of America, and delivered this classic unrehearsed riff. There's actually lots more to be said on this topic, but for now I'll just add 4 things to what he said. Read this and watch the video: 1. Upon our founding, it was actually 12/13 states that required a Christian religious test for office, and 9/13 states that had state-backed Christian religions funded by taxes. 2. The American concept of "government of, by and for the people" & our particular version of self-government is the literal and direct outgrowth of the Protestant concept of the priesthood of all believers that our Protestant congregations throughout the 13 Colonies practiced from the very beginning of their settlements in America. 3. The Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Constitution and Bill of Rights did not create this Nation. PEOPLE constituted and created this Nation, and devised systems & documents to govern their Nation. The PEOPLE came first, not the documents. The NATION arose first, not the government. 4. To truly understand the purpose of the First Amendment, you have to remember that fights and quarrels over religion in the Old World led to centuries of war. You also need to understand that the inter-ethnic European rivalries also led to endless wars. Europe fought over race and religion for 2500 years. Maybe more. The First Congress of 1790 solved both of these problems in nearly identical ways: 1. The Naturalization Act of 1790 made all White people citizens, thereby making all White ethnicities EQUAL. Anglo Saxons weren't superior to Germans weren't superior to Frenchmen, weren't superior to Scandinavians, etc etc etc, (at least not in the eyes of the government or law. Lol). All White people were thus placed onto EQUAL footing. This eliminated the long-time European need & urge to fight wars over ethnic rivalries. 2. The First Amendment, proposed in 1790 & ratified in 1791, made all Christian denominations EQUAL. Lutherans weren't superior to Presbyterians weren't superior to Congregationalists weren't superior to Quakers, weren't superior to Anglicans, etc etc etc. In fact, 11/14 states had official religious tests for public office, requiring a variety of Christian denominations. A few states still had official Christian religions funded by state taxes. Not only did the 1st Amendment preserve the freedoms of worship and conscience—two of the biggest reasons Europeans came to America in the first place—but it eliminated the long-time European need & urge to fight wars over religious differences. And just to really drive the point home for the haters & the ignorant: obviously, the 11 states that had Christian religious tests for office when they passed & ratified the First Amendment didn't do so in order to negate or abrogate their state-sponsored religions or religious tests—quite the opposite: they did it so that they could KEEP their unique state-backed Christian religions & Christian religious tests without being overruled by the federal government or brought into conflict with their fellow states. DUH. ******* When John Adams said our Constitution was meant only for a moral & religious people, he wasn't speaking abstractly about morality or religion in general, he was specifically referring to Christian morality and the Christian religion. The fact is, America is Christian from the ground up. From the beginning, it grew up around the Christian churches. It was built by Christians. And it was Christians who conceived, conceptualized and created our forms of government and institutions. You can say the same about our White European heritage genetics and culture. America is White. America is Christian. They are inseparably connected and indisputably fundamental to this nation & our founding. And the First Congress recognized both of these vital factors. That is why even in 1965, when Congress decided to overthrow the White Christian order (by passing the new Immigration Act against the will of the American people), America was still about 89% White and 93% Christian. Because America placed all European ethnicities and Christian denominations onto equal footing, our broad European racial & cultural similarities along with our common general Christian beliefs UNITED us here, rather than DIVIDING us as they had in Europe—which was itself a Christian realm, or "Christendom." IOW, America became the real European Union—largely because of the Naturalization Act of 1790 and the First Amendment (1790-91). America was never meant to be non-White or Non-Christian, and to believe otherwise is just ignorant and absurd. Now, watch Charlie. Sources in next tweet.

Most people have no idea about the real history of Al-Aqsa Mosque, because they’ve only been fed the Islamic Palestinian propaganda version of events. They believe that Al-Aqsa has always been Islam’s third holiest site, that it has belonged to Muslims since the dawn of time, and that Israel is the oppressor for merely existing near it. None of that is true. The Temple Mount in Jerusalem was the holiest site in Judaism for over a thousand years before Islam even appeared in history. It housed the First and Second Jewish Temples, the center of Jewish worship and pilgrimage. When the Romans destroyed the Second Temple in 70 AD, they built pagan shrines over it, but its Jewish identity never disappeared. In the 7th century Islam emerges and expands through conquest, and begins hijacking Jewish and Christian sites, prophets, and narratives. At first, Jerusalem had no major significance in Islam. Muhammad never set foot there. There was no mosque. There was no pilgrimage. There was no Islamic history tied to the city. But that changed during the brutal power struggle between Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan and Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr. By the late 7th century, Islam was deeply divided. Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr controlled Mecca and Medina, the two holiest cities in Islam. And Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, the Umayyad Caliph, controlled the Levant. But Abd al-Malik had a problem, he didn’t want the people of the Levant traveling to Mecca for pilgrimage, because that would give power to his rival. Abd al-Malik declared the Temple Mount as Alaqsa mosque that was mentioned in the quran, and he made it an alternative place of pilgrimage. He ordered the construction of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque to divert attention from Mecca. And just like that, Islam manufactured a holy site for political gain. The real Masjid Al-Aqsa referred to in the Quran was not in Jerusalem, it was between Mecca and Ta’if. There was no mosque in Jerusalem at the time. There was no Islamic presence there. Yet, centuries later, after Islam had conquered the city, the Islamic narrative retroactively applied this Quranic verse to Jerusalem, again, for political convenience. If Israel wanted to act like Islamic conquerors, it could have easily done to Al-Aqsa what Turkey did to the Hagia Sophia. It could have converted the mosque into the Third Temple, banned Muslim prayer on the site, erased any trace of Islamic history, as Muslims did to Christian and Jewish sites throughout history. But Israel didn’t do that. Israel allows Muslims to pray there freely. Israel protects Al-Aqsa, even as it is used to spread anti-Semitic propaganda and incite violence. Yet, despite this, the world condemns Israel for merely existing in its own capital.

The Bolshevik Revolution and the aftermath of World War II represent two of the most devastating blows ever delivered to Christian civilization and the same networks were heavily involved in both. In Russia, Jews were a tiny minority, yet they achieved wildly disproportionate power in the early Bolshevik regime. While Jews made up roughly 4-5% of the population, they held key leadership positions in the Party and especially the Cheka secret police during the Red Terror. Figures like Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kamenev, Sverdlov, and Yagoda were central. The Cheka, under leaders including Genrikh Yagoda, systematically targeted the Russian Orthodox Church executing tens of thousands of priests, destroying or desecrating over 50,000 churches, and wiping out the spiritual backbone of Christian Russia. This was not random violence. It was a deliberate ideological campaign to eradicate Christianity as the soul of the Russian people. The same pattern of ethnic overrepresentation and targeted destruction of Christian institutions seen across centuries was on full display. After World War II, the assault continued through different means in the West. The Frankfurt School almost entirely Jewish intellectuals like Adorno, Horkheimer, Marcuse, and Fromm developed Critical Theory, a weaponized form of cultural Marxism designed to undermine Western Christian civilization from within. They attacked the family, traditional morality, authority, and religion itself, repackaging their ideas for American universities. These ideas metastasized into the cultural revolution of the 1960s and beyond. The post-war period also saw heavy Jewish influence in Hollywood, media, academia, and the legal system that accelerated the removal of Christianity from public life. The same networks that helped dismantle Christian Russia now worked to secularize and transform Christian America and Europe first through legal challenges (removing school prayer), then through mass immigration, then through control of cultural output. The post you’re looking at nails it: The Bolsheviks didn’t just defeat armies. They understood that to kill a civilization, you must destroy its art, its architecture, its music, its liturgy the forms through which its beliefs live in the world. Cathedrals demolished. Sacred art destroyed. Liturgy suppressed. That is exactly what they did to Christian Russia. And the cultural equivalents of that destruction were transmitted to the West after the war. The pattern is unmistakable. When these networks gained power over Christian societies whether through revolution in Russia or cultural infiltration in the West the target was always the same: the historic Christian faith and the civilization it built. The survival of Christian culture was never accidental. It survived centuries of pressure precisely because it was rooted in something deeper than politics or economics. The current assault is simply the latest chapter in a very old war. The forms through which Christianity lived in the world cathedrals, liturgy, art, family, public morality are under sustained attack. The Bolsheviks showed what total war against Christian civilization looks like. The post-war West shows what sophisticated, institutional subversion looks like. Both chapters deserve serious study. It’s repeating under new names today…
