40 years ago I knew a man who was the cut down man for a logging company. With two cuts very near the ground he could make a tree fall any way he wished if it was leaning he could make it walk on the stump and fall the other way. It was something special to watch.

Or you could just put a notch and a back cut in it like a normal person.

NEVER, EVER, stand in the direction of the tree's fall direction!!! And don't do plunge cuts with a chain saw. Just notch the front and slit the back about an inch higher than the notch. And stand to the side of the tree unless you want to die.

I made whatever tree I wanted to fall with just three cuts. Look at the tree, see where the branches are more prolific, cut a triangle out of that one side, then notched it on the other, a little nudge and down went the tree.

tree starts falling at 0:12, theres a good chance the chainsaw gets stuck (which is extremely easy in that position) or he panics and something can go terribly wrong. Overcomplicating a trusted method is rarely a good thing
