The only kpop release that ever made me SOB - after the hate they went through in 2022/2023. It wasn’t a pity song, it wasn’t a “haha we are so cool it doesn’t matter” song, it was just acceptance of it all and staying determined to be true to themselves.

Have you ever HEARD what heartbreak sounds like? For years, there was a legend about the only song Prince ever erased. He supposedly went into the studio one night and recorded a 45-minute solo track about his breakup with Susannah Melvoin. When he finished, he told his engineer to do something he’d never done before - erase the tapes. She begged him not to do it because, according to her, it was the most perfect song she’d ever heard. The next day, he recorded a new version of the song and kept adding stuff to it… Drums. Horns. Everything. Then he forgot it. It wasn’t on an album or a single. It was just a song he made. It wasn’t until 2020 when his estate released a shortened version of it. “Wally” Happy birthday to a musical genius.
