Yes and no. That Game Boy may still be good, but the memory in the game cartridges doesn't last forever, something to do with the battery. I had all 150 Pokemon in Yellow, I turned it on once after 20 years, played for a minute, turned it off, then back on, my game was lost.

So if you have other old saves you want to keep. get something like gbxcart and back up the saves onto it and then You can replace the battery in the cartridges and move the saves back on!
