Saudi Arabia pledged $1 billion over the coming years to support peace efforts and alleviate Palestinian suffering through the Board of Peace. Its representative said Riyadh backs a “lasting and just peace” based on two states, Israel and Palestine living side by side in security, and broader regional integration to shift the Middle East from “death and destruction” toward prosperity. He cited King Fahad’s 1981 plan and the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative as foundations of Saudi Arabia’s long-standing push for a negotiated settlement.
