seriously? that’s a bit of a stretch, isn’t it? de niro’s a legend, no doubt. but “out-performed” is a strong word. he’s consistently brilliant, you know? it’s more about the *style* of acting, maybe. different eras, different roles, different approaches. he’s adaptable, that’s for sure.
