They took away the bells

The church tradition I most identify with is something called the restoration movement. It began in the Midwest in the 1800s, around the time of the Mormons, and is currently represented by the Independent Christian Churches and the Churches of Christ. I share that because what divided the Independent Christian Churches and the Churches of Christ was the question of whether or not musical instruments, like organs, should be used in worship. Independent Christian Chruches were fine with them, while Churches of Christ said worship songs should be sung a capella or without musical instruments, and that's still the only thing that divides them. I always thought that was dumb of the Churches of Christ to insist on not using musical instruments, but now I wonder if they saw what people like Carnegie were up to with their donations.

Despite being a musician I think that’s a smart move for churches

> They own the frequency. jfc he's right

What frequency is best?

It's the lyrics that matter. Think in the "classical" days, huge pipe organs and orchestras. But all they had to do was sing over and over in a catchy chorus, "Our king is so great, no one can debate!" They just were more physical than intellectual.

Bagpipes

Any factual history on Church bell frequencies and the like

If we need to be at a higher frequency why did they raise it to a higher frequency? Isnt higher frequency better? Why arent there any hits in 432? I think Metallica did Eb tune down but thats a half step so still could mix in other untunable instruments.
