Yeah I get what they were going for with the characters singing the song but I def would have liked a pro singer or group to do it (even Momoiro Clover) Strong fan project vibes

I think having the song from the original Stars arc is a nice homage even though it's going to be completely different in terms of ending.

Even then, I can assume that Sailor Moon fans are worried that Sailor Moon Cosmos will never get a U.S. DVD release since that happened to Sailor Moon Eternal. Only Japan has the DVDs.

Maybe it's for the better. TOEI is not releasing SM Cosmos elsewhere outside of Japan, the generational entitlement and attitude of the aging dusty fandom should be a warning at this point
