Property lines don’t care about handshakes from the previous owner. A neighbor built a garage 6 feet over the line, ran electricity to it, and never pulled a permit. Now the new owner discovers there’s no deed, no easement, no paper trail—just a structure sitting on the wrong side of the boundary. This isn’t a “neighborly misunderstanding.” It’s a legal encroachment. The fix doesn’t start with arguing over fences. It starts with a survey. Then a real conversation. Then, if needed, attorneys and the county. There are only a few real outcomes: • The neighbor buys that strip of land and it’s recorded properly • A legal easement is created and documented • The garage gets moved or removed What doesn’t work? “The old owner said it was fine.” Property law runs on paper, not memories.

Judge says ICE "unlawfully detained" teenager—locked him up for 18 days without a warrant. "In this country we don’t enforce the law by breaking the law," judge wrote. "He's a legal immigrant here with documents and was arrested for nothing." High school student Javier Gimenez Rivero has a pending asylum application—along with other legal paperwork including a work authorization. There are currently nearly 200 additional detainees being held without a warrant or charges in Orange County, Florida—at a cost of $330,000 to local taxpayers to date.
