Biting at that strength level is affection. Meant to express "stay still while I groom you out of love". 2 of 3 of mine will do the light bites on my hands + licks after a good brushing.

Those are love bites. That's why she looks relaxed & happy. It's basically a kitty kiss. ❤️ People misinterpret this and reflexively jerk away. (This is why they jump and look confused.) If you stay still they stop, it doesn't really hurt, and they go back to gentle touches. 😻
