Have you ever found it easier to forgive others than to forgive yourself? Over the last two days, I have had the exceptional opportunity to meet with small groups of youth and young adults here in the Philippines. In both meetings, I was asked by a member of the group how we can know if God has forgiven us of our sins. I appreciated the opportunity to share with these extraordinary young people my witness of God’s merciful relationship with His children and how Jesus Christ makes it possible for the pain of sin to be removed from our lives. “Though your sins be as scarlet, they can be white as snow” (Isaiah 1:18).
