The original Rolligon truck was over five tons and could run over basically anything, including people, without even hurting them at all. Do you know why it largely disappeared? 🤔

The U.S. military did incorporate this engineering into some of their trucks at one point but found it was just too expensive due to gas consumption and other factors. It needed a massively powerful engine just to move it and it still was very slow as well. They are now really only used for oil in some parts of Canada and Alaska. These are what some of the current ones look like:

30 years ago Lifted Trucks started with 5 trucks and an idea. To sell and build the highest quality trucks possible! Now we have 11 locations in 3 states and over 1000 Trucks for sale online! Thanks to all of our customers and friends over the last 3 decades! #Trucks Edited · 1w

How cool would that be during a street protest?

Nope. Explain why. Thanks

"The Rolligon largely disappeared from mainstream use due to its specialized design, but the technology persists in niche applications, with the Rolligon brand now owned by NOV, a company focused on rugged equipment for oilfield operations"

Bet the tires punctured too easily.

it ran out of air?

Gotta be insurance, right? No way they’d let a five ton peopleroller slide without insane premiums. Joking… unless I’m not?
