The Packers made a big offseason mistake...

This has been a staple under Matt. It’s obvious to all us fans that certain coaches need to be moved on from, and Matt doesn’t do it. It’s inexcusable. OL play has regressed now for years, and it’s not for a lack of resources. So you have to look first at coaching.

@Matt_Fra_ It makes no sense why they keep Butkus. Also, what does Stenavich do? -Doesn’t call plays -Doesn’t work with the OL

@PackADayPodcast Love how O line was an issue in the playoff loss vs eagles and here we are in the 2026 season and o line is still an issue. Maybe 2027 will be better with a new coach and staff

They made same mistake In 24 off season but LeFleur takes years to say good bye.

I completely agree, but unfortunately, this goes to the GM and the head coach too. They are going to be searching for a job at this continues to happen.

A team reflects it's head coach, and this HC is soft. MLF would be a good OC, but he's failing as an HC.

@PackADayPodcast You mean keeping Gute and Matty was a mistake

MLF is afraid to fire anybody! He had to wait til his own job was on the line before firing Joe Barry. Wouldn't can the terrible ST coach Bisacchia, that guy had the smarts to quit. Now Butkus, MLF better get fired if he allows Jordan Love to get hurt, which is going to happen.

The big mistake was in keeping Lafleur when you had guys like John Harbuagh and yes, Mike McCarthy available. McMcarthy was and is a far better head coach than the flower. Having said that, it's not likely that McC would come back to the place that fired him but Harbaugh...

I don’t think anyone necessarily disagrees, but it’s been 1 week. Let’s just give them a chance!

This is on Gute also

Was a mistake sure. MLF didn't do them any favors with his play calling tho. High YPA, no screens against a blitz rate that's usually 3x the league average when we play Flores. It's the entire mix of ingredients here, not just Butkus.

Another big failure of the lafleur tenure keeping coaches too long Joe Barry Any special teams coordinator Luke butkus Adam stenavich To name a few

I haven't paid enough attention over the years to how lafleur handles his staff but we all agree Joe Barry was around seasons longer than he should have been. Butkus too. The results just aren't there.

He's Bears plant. Actively sabotaging the oline

Think we were all asking for Stenovich back to OL coach and then bring in a new OC but hey ho

A 6-11 season.

Does the offensive coordinator deserve more blame since he is a former oline coach and responsible for the entire operation?

Havent you learned Andy, that MLF doesnt fire friends?

Yeah they keep these dead weight coaches too long

The sad part is they probably never even considered a change.

Pretty disgusted with the leadership. All that talk about opening the SB window and then put that on the field to protect your $200 Million QB…

I know he runs the wrong scheme but are we sure that Stoutland wouldn’t be better?

Bc keeping mlf and gute was a mistake

@Matt_Fra_ Year 2 of me saying this also !!

Packer leadership including the Board has destroyed this team's near future - They all must be fired

Your drinking buddy has never been good at hiring or firing assistants. He stinks Andy

In fairness they ALWAYS move on from a coach too late

Mannnnn let me find out Butkus is a double agent 👀 #DaBears 😇🌪

Should we presume that Adam Stenavich doesn’t want to coach the O line? I would have to think MLF and him have had that conversation. Not sure it would matter much given the talent.

Why does Matt consistently do this? The NFL is a performance business and he’s consistently kept coaches whose units haven’t performed. Barry, Rich, Butkus.. this has been a consistent issue. Players are expected to perform and coaches should be as well
