The Panama Canal is an engineering marvel.

We praise the engineering now but we shouldn't forget the countless lives that were sacrificed for this marvel to be standing today. Over 22,000 lives were lost when the French tried to build the Canal which failed. Over 5000 was lost when the USA handled the project

Frech Engineers started it in 1881 and abandoned it in 1889. US Engineers took over in 1904 and delivered it in 1914. 🤝

A Nigerian Politician given the contract for this project will cut corners and then get a Cobtractor that will make sure something foes wrong and one day the ship will get stuck...then prayers will start for it to pass through
