The Government have quietly announced that they will push ahead with their Puberty Blocker Trial. Children as young as 11 will be given drugs that can lead to loss of fertility and bone density. No child can consent to this. The trial must be stopped.

A blanket ban on puberty blockers, with a medical trial the only way to access them for young people, still isn’t enough for those who are ideologically opposed to the very existence of trans people and want the trial stopped. Nothing ever will be. And that’s why the government must be led by specialist clinicians in the interests of the child — not ideologues.

Regarding injecting children as young as 8 with puberty blockers, Wes Streeting admits “I’m deeply uncomfortable” but says that he’s “trying hard as a politician not to interfere or block clinical advice by people who are frankly far more qualified than me”. This gut feeling that we all have should take precedence over the opinions of other humans with a fancy degree. “Follow clinical advice” they say, as they take away the fertility, sexual and cognitive function of children. Earlier in the show Wes refused to deny that the BMA is more of a political organisation than a health organisation. WHAT THE FUCK. STOP THE TRIAL.

The UK government has approved an experiment to block the puberty of 100+ children to see if it makes them feel better. It won't. A 2015 - 2017 study already found that. And it's unethical to experiment on children, who cannot provide informed consent. Keira Bell Keira Bell is a survivor of the trans medical scandal. She is now leading the effort to demand that Health Minister Wes Streeting stop the experiment. Her efforts appear to be working, as Streeting last week said he was uncomfortable with the clinical trial going forward. It is essential that Bell and her allies succeed.
