I've observed Kerala quite closely. Even before I became an MP, I used to visit, but I didn't delve into the details. Now, I understand better the importance of Panchayats in the democratic process. The foundation of politics in Kerala lies in these homes, offering a model for the rest of the country. I see Kerala as a robust democratic exemplar for the nation. I honestly don't get why people in the West keep attributing "woke" to communism/socialism or leftist ideology. They even invented a new gibberish term "cultural Marxism". Communism and socialism for us Chinese is very different from the warped perceptions in the west. The Party represents the people and serves the people. Through the People's Democratic Dictatorship, the natural state of China is the people-centric development model.

I have been struggling without a pension for seven months." These are the assurances given by a Kerala voter to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the NDA candidate in the Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Shashi Tharoor has been the MP for the last 15 years. He is not popular with the city folks anymore. Apart from a smiling face and Oxford English, he has hardly done anything for the growth of Thiruvananthapuram. People realize this, and there is clearly a wave in favor of Rajeev Chandrasekhar. During the last elections, the BJP lost the race due to the massive shift in coastal votes, in favor of the Congress. Rajeev Chandrasekhar understands this, and he is focusing his attention on these areas. In all likelihood, the Communists and the Congress will come together behind the scenes once again, to defeat the BJP. Let us see if they succeed this time.
