The Persuaders. Thin Line Between Love and Hate

Such a great song with a great performance!!

Yes, it is!

Real music

I will forever remember one Sunday afternoon, a lady phoned in to KJLH and requested to hear this song. When asked if she would like to dedicate to anyone, she responded yes, my husband!

The Persuaders didn't rely on studio magic; the tension you hear is genuine because the main take was recorded during a lightning storm that nearly blacked out Atlantic Studios. ⚡ 🤔 Check out the intro piano: it has that metallic bite because the engineer placed copper coins and tacks directly onto the piano hammers so every note hit with a cold, sharp edge. 🎹 Also, the backing vocals were done around a single mic wrapped in tissue paper to soften the highs while keeping the urgency of the message. 🧤✨ Did you know? 🤯

I miss Soul Train....🥺

THERE U R…I GUESS ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!!!…U AT IT AGAIN, Friend!!!!…NJOY!!!…#thinlinefasure

Yes. That part, Friend!!! 💯🔥🎤

They actually sang that LIVE rather than the usual lip-syncing that occurred on Soul Train—that was COOL!!!!

Oh … Jermaine…you went back✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

💯😂 Yes, San. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thank you for lol of your postings of these great artists’ performance. So wonderful!

This song means so much to me. It's just so black and soulful. I don't think there is a song that lyrics match the performance more than this outside of like a gospel song.

🔥🔥🔥 real R&B music

Classic 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Ooh chile, the triflingness. Lol

Legendary Song‼️🔥

Soul music. Real music.

"The sweetest woman in the world can be the meanest woman IF YOU MAKE HER THAT WAY". Preach it.

It funny how we are connected in this universe. I was just listening to H-town Thin line a couple days ago. I even watched the movie!! This is crazy 😜

Loved the Persuades!! And miss the Afro!!!!!

Awesome song!!! On another note, when/why did they stop doing live performances on sould train. When I watched in the 80s it was all tracks.
