A plane carrying 180 passengers from Dubai to Tel Aviv had to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after what Israel is describing as a potential terrorist attack. Israeli media claims the co-pilot stabbed the other pilot and tried to crash the plane which plummeted almost 14,000 feet within a minute. The reports say passengers helped to overpower the pilot, while Israel scrambled fighter jets after seeing the emergency distress call. Fly Dubai said the incident was due to a fight between pilots.

Let’s all celebrate Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian Pilot that - after being stabbed by his Omani co-pilot on a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv- managed to issue an emergency code and open the cockpit door, to allow passengers to help neutralize the terrorist, regain control of the plane as the terrorist co-pilot sought to crash the plane, and land the plane in Saudi Arabia, where the crew and passengers all received care. Just imagine being in his position and managing to turn the tables, and save not just 150 passengers, but also avoid giving terrorists a perverse “win.” To Smith Machchhar - and to the courageous group that neutralized the terrorist - we are all indebted for your strength and courage. Let’s all unite and Build Together, and not allow Destroyers to Tear humanity apart.
