The HAL made plane went down around pm local time while performing an aerial display before a large crowd. Thick black smoke was seen rising from the crash site near the airport, prompting panic among onlookers, including families with children who had gathered to watch the show. The single occupant of the aircraft was not injured and it appears a pole was struck. The investigation is ongoing at the moment. For traffic, all vehicle traffic is shut down on Park Avenue from Mossman Road south to Bilby Road."
