Good job done in bringing the building down but i am very sure the buildings and soil around must have been weakened. Might not be realised now but with time the effects will be felt. Any future developments around that area must carefully & closely be supervised.

A full evaluation is currently underway to determine the extent of the impact and to enable technical teams to commence processes to restore normal operations as swiftly as possible. I visited the Jaway Wharf community with the Board Members of Ghana Maritime Authority to gain first-hand insight into current marine transport activities. As a border town, most movement in the area is done by boats. We engaged community members on the importance of safety in their daily operations. We also held discussions with the Ghana Navy and Ghana Immigration Service, who shared some of the challenges they face.
