Try building real walls instead?

In Germany we have either real walls or special dowels for that. 🧐 (e.g. Fischer DuoHM)

No damn way demo is real, but the device is neat as shit... Like a butterfly anchor but for old construction. But who the fk mounts enclosures on the outside of the wall... Damn just cut that fkr in an save me the OCD...

Glad there's someone inside the wall to tell me the correct angle. It is sold separately?

Or just use one of these and it will be flush to the wall instead of sticking out….

Profilbild von SeeLoud

Just use a fast fix . Then you would have a flush finish instead of an ugly socket you could stand on? Strange

Why not just normal butterfly anchor? squeeze the butterfly in the hole then just screw in the screw.

It's a great idea. So it won't be allowed in Canada. A country that is part of the G7 has retailers that will never allow things like this to be sold. They have their standard items and there will be no new products allowed. Think I'm joking? Visit a Walmart in the US and then visit one in Canada. And don't give me that we're so spread out bull shit. 96% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the border. I used to be a renovation contractor. My customer wanted bifold doors like he had in his winter home in Florida here in Ontario. I couldn't get the hardware from anyone. Including Home Depot. I finally had to buy it direct from the manufacturer. These were not cheap crap. $100 a door. I had to buy 3 as a minimum. Customer paid for all 3 but I only needed 2. I used the 3rd one at my fathers house. That was 20 years ago. Same Stanley garbage on the shelves at EVERY retailer and still no quality one's like I can buy at Home Depot in Port Huron Michigan. Which is 5 miles from the Home Depot in Sarnia Ontario.

Use a metal drywall achor, you screw it in like an oversized screw and it holds 30 to 40 pounds.

A very important solution that is not only faster but also very robust, able to withstand loads and forces. This is CHUMPFix produced by CHUMPTools... A clever design that helps spread loads accross board... Makes socket, switches, and lights installation convenient and effective. Everyone working on drywall could give it a try

😂😂 Why put a surface back box onto plasterboard when you can install a flush one. Also that is not taking that idiots body weight..

It´s not a "hack" to just copy a concept that the Germans already used for ages.

Why would you put a surface box on a plasterboard wall? You would recess it in!
