Al Maktoum International Airport will enjoy the world's largest capacity, reaching up to 260 million passengers. It will be five times the size of the current Dubai International Airport, and all operations at Dubai International Airport will be transferred to it in the coming years. The airport will accommodate 400 aircraft gates and feature five parallel runways. New aviation technologies will be employed for the first time in the aviation sector. As we build an entire city around the airport in Dubai South, demand for housing for a million people will follow. Under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Federal Government is committed to completing the National Library Headquarters in Abuja. Over the past few months, the Federal Ministry of Education has held several meetings with members of the National Library team and its contractors to discuss the resumption of the project. The project, which was designed in 1981 and began construction in 2006, is the third (3rd) of three national monuments (the National Ecumenical Centre and the National Mosque) that has yet to be completed. This week, my team and I toured the project site with the CEO of the National Library, the project’s architect, and contractor to assess the progress made before construction paused in 2012. By June 2025, we will proceed with Phase 1 of the project, which will include the completion of Basement Levels 1 and 2, the Ground Floor, the Second Floor, and the building's external works and furnishings. Mr. President is deeply passionate about Nigeria’s human capital development, of which education is an integral part. The President has also instructed TETFund to allocate funding towards the project to ensure its resumption and completion. With a National Library, we can provide all Nigerians with a communal learning environment to help them grow and become their best selves.

During our review in Gondar City, we assessed the progress of the Megech Irrigation Development Project. The project encompasses a total area of 870 hectares and is expected to irrigate approximately 17,000 hectares of land. It has now reached an important stage with the successful completion of a key milestone—the river diversion. The remaining activities are progressing on schedule, and once the Megech dam is completed, the irrigation benefits are expected to significantly enhance the area’s agricultural productivity.

Whose ideas was to operate Lucknow airport metro line in the first phase? Have lived in Lucknow for 4 years now and have used the metro 3 times. From Airport to Munshipulia, the line misses most of the important residential area in the city and caters to niche airport commuters. It was this year that the expansion project got the cabinet nod and will take another couple of years to come up. Till then, the metro will continue to mount losses in hundreds of crores. How bright was the idea of operating the airport line in the first phase in a Tier 2-3 city?
