The Pointer Sisters — “Automatic”

The most addictive 80s synth-pop! 🎹 With "Automatic", The Pointer Sisters traded R&B for the futuristic sound that defined an era. Ruth Pointer’s low register is pure magic. 🤔 Fun fact: Ruth recorded the lead vocals while battling severe bronchitis! 🤒 That deep, robotic tone we love was a total accident caused by her swollen throat. Did you know? 🤯

no need to control it!

That my favorite tune of the pointer sisters

I was today years old when I learned it was the pointer sisters who sang this as I always thought it was a dude like shalamar or something

A different lead, and still a hit!!

I def thought a dud sang this oh shit

Pointer Sisters was the first concert I ever attended. What a great show!

Oakland, California Town Bizz

As a kid, I was mad at the Pointer sisters for upstaging Prince's song with the same name.

Hip and funk AF.

Letting her sing in baritone really threw me off. I was like who's that dude?

I always thought it was a guy singing.

Def many dudes here.

A certified banger, mate 💥
