I said this about fighting game sprites as well. Sprites can bring out a lot of personality, but you can’t really get with 3-D models that they’ve been using even if it cost more I would definitely want more sprites.

Only thing I didn't like about Gen 5's sprites, was the way it regressed in this regard: MIXELS . The back mon sprites were the same size as the front sprites, so they scaled them up x2 when rendering and they look SUPER pixelated compared to everything else. Like Gen 1....
