Reminds me of when our couriers got switched to EV vans and it lasted about 3 months because of range and overnight charging issues.

Most of our Amazon vans are now electric. Those guys aren’t stupid. Also more and more electric taxis. Those guys very much care about making as much money as possible.
Yeah but a lot of EVs apart from Teslas and other high end EVs are limited to 100mph which is not great for a pursuit car is it?

I’m all for EV’s, but they are not suitable for all. It really gets to me seeing company EV vans charging when the driver really should be working.

The police will use them, they are ideal for local beats and town centres, things will be a bit different trying to stop a car doing 140mph down the motorway, or patrolling the vast expanses of the Yorkshire Dales, they have their place, but they don’t fit everywhere.
Why can EVs not do 140mph and patrol the Yorkshire dales?
Have you seen some of these police chases, that go on for miles, sometimes through different counties, I can’t imagine there’s many EVs capable of maintaining those speeds, and having the battery to do it, after a 4-5 hour shift of patrol, as for patrolling the dales, they’d need to be four wheel drives, capable of going places you wouldn’t take many vehicles.
That doesn’t answer my questions though. You’re trying to pass off outdated nonsense and poor knowledge as reasons, and it doesn’t wash anymore.

The lfb already trialled an electric fire appliance, it burnt to the ground within a fortnight of it going operational, the replacement did exactly the same!😂
So what happen when the electric grid goes down for a few days and there is serious disorder? Do they break out the pedal cycles?
