I shipped a container from the mainland to Hawaii and I was so surprised that they did not want to know what was inside the container. No one checks. Those ports are run a specific way for a reason.

Why would they not open them then . They are almost just as guilty if they hear that and do nothing.

I would think if you hear someone inside of a container you could open it for safety reasons.

Brother I spend a fair bit of time at the ports. I load freight out of Baltimore, jersey, philly, Delaware, and Virginia. If I or any one of our great port workers heard KIDS SCREAMING in containers, we would grab our bolt cutters and open the container. This is literally just made up and if anyone actually did experience this and decided to strike instead of doing something, they are the villain.

I feel like a video of this happening, although it would be basically just audio while showing a container, is very important. "Often enough to strike over" hopefully means "often enough to capture on camera". I will repost any credible post that has a video, to rally people.

Yeah. It makes me wonder out of all the people I used to work with at the ports, doing the claims for injured workers,who knew and who didn't. Because OBVIOUSLY someone would have to be either involved or paid to look the other way if they were that close to the containers. Makes me question a few suspicious deaths at the ports too. Were they really accidents, or hits? Freaks me the eff out.

I don’t know about you, but if it was my job to load containers and I heard anyone screaming, let alone children, I’d break into that container myself. Who would load a container they knew contained children, knowingly?

For the sake of humanity, free those people who are trapped in those containers there’s only so much air that’s in them and what sad is a lot of the time the whole container by the time someone finds them everyone is dead. Children included on bewildered that people can send you somewhere and forget you.

Instead of going on strike how about listening for voices in containers and save lives?
