. The Postal and Courier Services Regulatory Commission Act, 2003 (Act 649) Key provisions: Section 3(1): “A person shall not operate or provide a courier service without a licence issued by the Commission.” → The obligation is on the operator of the courier service.

This is peak f00ling by the NDC gov’t or whatever. Hw do u impound a motor bike that is working for a delivery company? What happens to the company itself? If you’ve got ur own bike with all the papers sorted and you’re just carrying your stuff home, can they still impound it?

They need to organize a workshop and give these riders training on some of these issues because they genuinely don’t know what they are doing is against the law

This is absolutely wrong, without educating the public about this, how do you expect him to know these laws you are talking about, he is not a lawyer. I think the Government should first create public awareness of these things before enforcement.

The fact that the constitution makes provision for the licensing of courier services means ignorance is no excuse. But what happened to public education through TV, radio, and social media? At the very least, when people are found culpable, they should have no excuse

Chale even though you don’t know about it at least have a little knowledge and ask yourself if you pay tax on it. With the exception of private vehicles and company vehicles the rest all pay tax so why will you register a motor for private use then later turn it to do delivery

There should be exceptions if sufficient public education hasn’t been made. Imagine being arrested for not paying your TV license fee, which is a legal violation? Yeah…that’s how this man is feeling right now, practically ignorant and not enough education on this rudiment.
