I wonder how they got the beam to split like that to destroy each planet in the system.

I know it's just a movie but this scene has some major flaws. First, how can one single continuous beam separate into several others to target multiple planets? Second, The base has to be in the same system to be effective. In other words Starkiller base killed themselves also.

The only power of Starkiller Base is the Power of Stupid. And it is VERY strong.

you can see the beam extend, so is not travelling at light speed, and yet somehow it traverses light years of space in seconds. Worse still people see it happening realtime, even though the light from the event would take years to reach other planets in other systems.

Just a giant dildo scene to symbolize that the old Star Wars is over; unfortunately, it turns out that the new storytellers of this world are incompetent, arrogant, talentless losers.

Nothing of this makes sense. Technically, Physically, Budget and resource-wise (knowing the First Order was basically a hidden terror-cell without resources relying on some retarded casino-investors...)... and mostly a heroic spy killing billions of people just to stay in cover

Btw with such energy release atmosphere would go into plasma emitting infrared. Making most of planet burn on surface. Even on dark side as due to immense heat air itself would start to glow and emit more plasma around globe like a locked in mirror sphere.

Lame it’s just a bigger death star… I mean seriously they drive the planet around… Come on. A battle station is one thing they fly the planet around and destroy stars. They just used up the star now are they sitting in darkness? @grok can you give me the technical details of this battle station? Star killer base is weird.

Lets see, the movie was basically a carbon copy of the original but had to be "bigger?" Yes, that was a waste of potential. They should have spent an extra year writing the basic story line and script.
