Foreign secretary @YvetteCooper is claiming "we weren't involved in the start" of the US bombing of Iran. This is false. Her government allowed the US to use UK air bases for weeks, from January, to build up its military forces in the Middle East to bomb Iran.

President Donald J. Trump is right. When we were busy doing the world a favor and ensuring that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons, our NATO “allies” in Spain, the UK, and Italy refused to let us use their bases. How can we be confident that we can use Greenland’s bases in the event of an attack on the United States?

Sally Jameson when asked about letting the US use UK bases to bomb Iran: "The govt will always act within the best interests.. of the British people" How is it in our interest to help the US wage an illegal war that's slaughtering Iranian children & pushing up our energy prices?

If we don't protect our country, culture, and values then we will lose them. We should not be sorry about defending those things. Not all cultures are the same. Not all values are the same. We need to make sure that we defend our way of life unapologetically.

Streeting "I was clear [to Hegseth] that we've not supported offensive action in Iran" We're letting the US use our bases to bomb Iran! If France was allowing another country to use French bases to bomb Britain would we shrug & say oh well or would we see that as an act of war?

Trump is unhinged and should be removed under the 25th Amendment, but his Cabinet of sycophants lacks the courage to act. The House should return immediately and pass a War Powers Resolution to rein him in. We only need a handful of Republicans to join us. Speaker Mike Johnson, call the House back now so we can stop this madness.

UK Defence Secretary Healey says US military bases in the UK won't be used to attack Greenland. How? How could we stop the US? We don't have full sovereignty over our territory, foreign or security policies. Our political-state class has willingly turned us into a US vassal.

Zack Polanski, "Why does it seem that our government is incapable of standing up to a US president?" Jeremy Corbyn, "It's in the psychology of the Ministry of Defence, the Foreign Office, a pro-US position" "There's this assumption that we will always be close to the US, whatever it does" "So when the US comes along with something utterly absurd and bizarre, like the bombing of Iran. For what?" "They can't actually give a rational reason for bombing Iran" "On one side they say to get rid of Iran's nuclear weapons, when they knew full well that Iran doesn't have any nuclear weapons" "They then said we have to bomb Iran and the British government said they are not involved in this. Yet, at the same time allow US forces to use British bases" "More specifically, Trump goes onto Andy Burnham the day after he's become Prime Minister and says, can we use RAF bases for US planes to take off and bomb Iran, but don't worry its only defensive" "What was Burnham doing agreeing to that?"
