The problem is not Chinese investment in European infrastructure. The problem is private ownership of critical infrastructure. It should be maintained in the hands of sovereign states, under public ownership for the benefit of the people rather than the profits of the few.

Fully agree again (shocker!). Thanks for clearing up the facts and for trying to get accountability from the EU. Unfortunately “responsibility” is not a word known to them.

PREACH 🗨️👄 Clair! It is a pleasure to have at least a few saying it right at the EU parliament.

This. About a thousand times. No private entity should own water.

You consistently point out the facts that really matter. While we are being told our demise and hardship are for 'everyone's benefit' (read top 1%), you logically dismantle the flimsy reasoning they use. Privatisation has been a disaster for ordinary people.

Thanks Clare Daly, financial privatisation is neoliberalism’s austerity-driven ‘own-goal’. It brings on neo-feudalism, and Europeans should remember its implications. “Well said” to ye!

@irelandcp OXO! Tanks Clare for pushing back against Sinophobia but in general being a voice of reason on all things anti-imperialism and what not. an endangered species and thanks so much.

More Marxist drivel

👏👏👏

Very super super super very very civilized European democracy!! There are only 2 truly different, honest political voices out of 751 MPs. And those who are responsible for solving problems cannot bear to listen to them. A fart civilization built on lies.
